Display properties - settings - shows my monitor as
default although my display adaptor is correctly
identified. I have the manufacturer's driver for my TFT
monitor but cannot install it as the default monitor is
not listed in Device manager. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled the display adaptor driver but this has had
no effect. Has anyone any ideas why this is happening
please?
.
I'm having the same problem. I have a monitor/AGP video
card problem. I have a NEC AccuSync 90 monitor and a
Radeon 9600 Pro video card. I re-loaded Windows XP the
other day because I was having trouble with NvCpl.dll and
in Internet explorer I was always getting errors that had
Microsoft Script pop up and want to de-bug all the time.
I get a runtime error line 448 syntax error, new instance
of Microsoft script editor, it wants to de-bug scripts in
Iexplorer.exe. I replaced the missing dll from a
download dll website, I re-installed windows XP. During
the install windows wanted a video driver that I could
not find. The re-install did not fix the Microsoft
Scripts problem or the dll problem. It did mess up my
monitor and video card. In control panel, display,
settings, advanced, adapter, it says the adapter type is
unavailable and under properties, it says VGAsave and
also says VGAsave, current status started, start up type
system. It gives me no button option to re-install the
driver. Under monitor, it says default driver, and no
option to see the properties. I am able to set the
resolution to 32 bit and 1280 x 1024 as though it sees my
video card. I try to install the software for the Radeon
9600 Pro video card and it tells me to install a generic
driver for the monitor and video card first. As I said
at this point I can not install any drivers. What should
I do? Please advise
(e-mail address removed). Thanks.
