Micrphone Problems

B

Brett

I have having problems with my microphone. This problem
only occurs on this computer. I have tried 4 other
computers.

I can't configure my Logitech USB Headset. I have tried
going to control panel > sounds and audio devices > voice
Test Hardware.
I then get the error messege:
"An error occured during Directplay Voice Setup. The erro
is 0x80004005."
"Windows cannot execute DpvSetup.exe. Use Add/Remove
programs control panel to install".

My hardware acceleration is at least one bar to the right
of zero.

RAM is not the problem.

I noticed the problem while trying to chat on windows
mesenger. I can hear my friends through my headset, but
they can not hear me. the transmit bar moves up and down
when i talk, but no sound goes through. Firewalls aren't
hte problem either. Thanks for the help,

..

.
Brett, try this, rightclick the little volume icon in
the bottom right corner of your monitor (may be next to
clock), click "Open volume Control" and see if the
microphone is unchecked in the "Mute" box.
Also, click "Adjust Audio Properties"/click Audio
tab/check Sound Recording volume control. If none of
these do any good, go to below website for more info:
Click on "S" and scroll down to Sound Troubleshooters.
