Microsoft Intelli Mouse Explorer 3.0 USB

Hi folks,

I have a serious question... for almost two years i have this wonderful
mouse, but no it makes some trouble... might be a hardware problem... well
the problem is, that if i single click the mouse double clicks but not
always. i don't know whats the reason, but its making me mad... the same
thing, if i drag and drop something, the mouse just fires click events, must
be internal in the mouse itself, that there is something wrong... has anyone
the same experiences and/or knows an answer how to repair that ?

sorry for putting this into the winxp newsgroup, but there wasn't a
microsoft hardware newsgroup.

I had the same problem. It all started two weeks ago....single clicks turned into dbl. clicks and trying to click and drag was not and option at all. So, I went and bought the new Intelli Mouse Explorer with the 5.0 version. The horizontal scroll is cool but they have removed some of the programable options for the buttons which sucks big time. I liked to select all, copy and paste all from the mouse.
I have sinced gone back to the 4.0 version which has those options and in return lost the horizontal scroll. Maybe one of these days they will leave well enough alone.
