Memory could not be read

Johan

When copying files I receive an explorer.exe application
error saying "The instruction at "0x73dd1004" referenced
memory at "0x03a8919c". The memory could not be read."

I am using Windows XP Prof. SP1 and all the updates
available are installed.

The error occurs sometimes after half an hour, sometimes
immediately.

Can anyone explain this phenomenom ?

Thx in advance

Most likely answer is that you have some faulty RAM - so either explorer
is running from it and has a corrupted instruction as a result, or is
trying to read something that could not be read. Get a good memory
tester - eg from www.memtest86.com or www,simmtestrer.com - make its
boot floppy and boot to let it run overnight
