Lost System Recovery after antispy software install

Can you beleive it, after installing Microsoft spyware
beta edition and running it several times it found spy
data and upon my instruction deleted it. After this I
discovered I can't turn on my Windows XP firewall
and the system recovery won't reload to a previous
date. I wonder what else it's deleted? Not sure how
to get the firewall operational again since it can't
find the necessary files to reload it, they too were
deleted, any advice?

About the firewall :) check the other posts.. they are all

About the System Recovery, some malware/spyware can hide
in the system recovery files, if they default was set to
Ignore and you change it to remove, that could be the
problem if not, then it just removed it by remove'n those
files. Which is good because if you did a system restore
it would restore it back with all the files you just
removed on it.

Click on Start>All Programs>Accories>System Tools>System
Restore to create a new clean restore point.
