On my system I lost my passwords, both for Administrator and for my own
log-in, and unfortunately have forgotten both since I just changed my log-in
without writing down the new password. I have reinstalled W2K to the same
partition but to a new system directory, keeping all of the old files
intact. I know such stupidity should not be rewarded but is there any way I
can recover my old passwords for the other version of W2K I still have in
the same partition ? Needless to say I can access all of the old files in
that partition, but I have no idea where I can look to recover my old
passwords. I realize this is not information which MS likes to give out, but
I do want to recover the old passwords so that I do not have to re-create my
new system again considering all of the software I have installed on the old
one. If anyone can help, it would be very much appreciated.
