Lost e-mails

I was recently trying to set up a user account for my son.
Previously the only account on the PC was the
administrators account.

It seems that this has been overwritten and I have lost my
settings. I have managed to restore many of these but seem
to have lost all my Outlook settings and e-mails. I am
hoping that the messages are somwhere on my hard drive. I
have tried system restore but it seems that I am unable to
restore to an eralier point.

Does anyone know if there is anyway of retreiving my e-
mails and Outlook settings?

Adding a Windows account to Windows XP won't overwrite any other user's
data. When you say "set up an account", do you mean a Windows account or
just an Email account in Outlook?

Exactly what steps did you take to add the account and what changes in
Outlook did you make? Did you move any files? Did you change anything in
the old account?
