Outlook settings & lost e-mails

Pauly

I was recently trying to set up a user account for my son.
Previously the only account on the PC was the
administrators account.

It seems that this has been overwritten and I have lost my
settings. I have managed to restore many of these but seem
to have lost all my Outlook settings and e-mails. I am
hoping that the messages are somwhere on my hard drive. I
have tried system restore but it seems that I am unable to
restore to an eralier point.

Does anyone know if there is anyway of retreiving my e-
mails and Outlook settings?

Your data will be in a file with a .PST extension. You don't say what
version of Windows are using, but later versions of Windows will "hide" .PST
files by default, so search in hidden folders. Once you find your file,
you'll need to put it somewhere within your own Windows profile
(preferably), or in a shared folder. Then all you need to do is point
Outlook to it.
