Loss of Music Playback in 2007 PowerPoint Shows

M

Mark Spitler

1. Installed MS Service Pack 3 for Windows XP Professional, after which the
sound files (MP3) in my PowerPoint presentations (saved in both 2003 and 2007
formats) do not play.

2. Error message states "The specified file cannot be played on the
specified MCI device. The file may be corrupt, not in the correct format, no
file."

3. I can play the all music files with Media Player 11.0 and Real Player
outside of the PowerPoint presentations.

Can anyone help.

Thanks,

M.S.

Probably someone in a PowerPoint or Windows XP forum, but this newsgroup is
for a different program (Microsoft Access). The webpage can be confusing and
may have misled you.
