Long time to open My Computer

I have several hard disks in my PC partitioned into several drives.
Recently, when I click to open "MY Computer" it takes along time to display
the drives. On the right hand side the flashlight just moves back and forth
for about 2 or more minuets. Event viewer had a warning that a drive had bad
blocks so I ran "Spinrite" and errors went away but the delay to open My
Computer still exist.
Any clues? I'm partitioned drives C - M. It was working fine for a year.

Wll it looks like it was the fikrst option in
ttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/819017/en-us. The Windows imaging service was
in the starting state. I disabled the service and all seems well.
