login problem

I have 4 networked computers, 2 desktops running windows xp and one running
windows 2000 and one laptop running windows 2000. The laptop is wireless and
one xp desktop is wireless the other 2 are wired to the linksys wrt54g
router. Everything works fine as far as internet sharing and most of the
file and print sharing except for this one problem:
Whenever I try to access the wired win 2k comp from the wireless win XP it
asks for a username and password. However when I try to access the same
win2k comp from the wireless laptop or the other desktop it lets me right in
without the username and password which is what I want. It only happens from
that one machine. What am I missing?

Please help

The account you use on the problem machine when logging on must
be defined on the Win2000 machine, with identical passwords.

The account is already defined on the win 2k machine. Thanks for the reply.
Any other suggestions??

Not only do the accounts have to be defined on both
machines but you MUST use this account when
logging on to your WinXP machine. You're probably
logged on under a different account, without realising
it!

But the other winXP desktop gets right in without user name or password and
I am not logged in under the same account. That is what is really driving me
crazy.

You write "But the other winXP desktop gets right in without
user name or password". Not quite - you do log on under
a user name & password but it's automatic. Find out what
it is, then use the same on the other XP!
