login page / discussion group

I have created a login page containing user name and password, then i
created a database with two tables being username and password. When i
enter the username and password nothing happens. I have also created a
Frontpage 2002 disussion form but when I try to post, I receive a Runtime
error.

Is there any good tutorials one could point me to that explains how to setup
a login page that hits a database of user names and passowords which
authenticates the user to the discussion form and one can post to the
discussion.

Hi KMD,

How are the tables being used? Did you write a ASP page to authenicate the entered USERID / Password?
