hi please please someone help. I bought frontpage 2000
for my pc but when i tried to load it it stops half way
through and states "XP professional service pack 1 cd"
needs putting in to carry on. When i look at the reason
it states "error 1933 windows installer service cannot
update one or more protected window files". It has never
done this before with anything else i have put on so does
anyone know why it should start now? Im on windows xp.
Please help as its so frustrating, and im not very
computer friendly im affraid so please try and keep it
simple if possible.
Thankyou all............... Mark

XP Pro service pack 1 was only in Microsoft's imagination when the CD
for FrontPage 2000 was manufactured (probably in 1999). It seems,
therefore, very strange that this would be the error message you see
when installing FrontPage 2000. Are you use this is a valid copy of
FrontPage 2002?

Suggest:
1. Ensure your copy of XP Pro has all the updates. Run Start/Help and
Support/Windows Update.
2. Ensure you are installing with an ID that has permissions to install
software
3. Give the CD a good "clean" before next install attempt.
4. If it fails, return for credit or replacement. (You realize that
FrontPage 2000 is out of date and FrontPage 2002 is the current version
available with FrontPage 2003 out this month).

Seek more guidance on the newsgroups specialising in FrontPage.
