Loading pages problem in IE

Jan Pavel

Hi,

I have an issue with loading some pages in IE (version
6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633). I want to open a page (for example
http://www.vlak.cz), IE appears that it's loading a page but then it
suddenly stops and it shows only blank screen (as if I browse to
about:blank). Sometimes it helps to delete temporary files in Internet
Options. After deleting temporary files page is loaded correctly but when I
close IE and try to load the page again I have blank screen again.
I have this problem on 2 computers. Both compters are in a network with
other computers (not in the same network) and other computers (also with Win
XP) haven't this problem. Both networks have broadband internet connection.

Thanx for help.

Yes, it is disabled.
When I enable it and try to load the page, it displays first time correctly
and next time it shows blank page again. When I disable script debugging,
first page load is OK and next page loads ends on blank page again.

Is the IE cache set too low? Recommended value is 5 to 80MB.
Int Expl > Int Properties > General tab > Temp Int Files > Settings.

Also, what does the Event Viewer say?

Bee, why is the cache size recommended to be 5-80 mb? Why not larger if
the disk space is available?

Thus far, I have taken the fact that two networked computers in different
domains demonstrated the same aberrant behaviour as coincidence. This may
not be, and may yet be the clue to the cause of this malfuntion. I have no
further useful comment to make, except: if malware has been excluded by
scan(s), one may finally have to resort to a System Restore, or even a
Repair Install, i.e. leave the mystery unsolved.
