When I start up my computer the windows program starts to load and just before it done I get a message that says "Loader error 3" contact ..... and so on. Ive tried my emergency disk and a windows 2000 pro boot disk and get nothing. I dont know much about computers and would know how I go about fixing this without having to spend to much or going on the internet "If thats even possible. All and any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you gpfuson.

welcome to PCR

Get yourself a windows 2000 cd ... beg, borrow, or nick one. ;)

Boot up the computer from the cd.
Once at the c: prompt do the following
The commands in the quotes are what you should type. Do not actually type the quotes.

type "cd .." press enter (this will take you to the root of the c:\ drive)
"ren ntldr ntloader" press enter
"d:" enter (changes to your cdrom drive)
"cd i386" press enter
"copy ntldr c:\" press enter
"exit" press enter

reboot without the CD in the drive, should be all.

good luck!!
