large .avi files

When I capture large .avi files (VCR movies for example @14GB) I don't
seem to be able to copy/ move them - error message says not enough disc
space; please free space and try again, but there is lots of free space
(30-50GB)? Any idea what is happening here? (Dell Inspiron with XP
Professional/ MCE, Pinnacle Studio 10.5 with USB 2 capture kit)

If your hard drive is formatted FAT32 then you are limited to a file size
of 4Gb for copying/moving.

Things to try...

Disconnect from the net and close all
programs...especially virus scanners.

Run...Disk Cleanup, Error Checking
and Defrag.

Install more RAM.

Increase the size of your Virtual Memory
