keyboard gobbledygoop

Help!! In my ignorance of Windows, I have managed to press something on my
keyboard that has affected the right hand side of the alphabet keys...
Letters such as - uiopjklnm - are reading - 456*1230 - instead. My comp is a
Sony mini VAIO running XP Home edition.

Some one suggested to press the FN key in conjunction with ... what...? - to
change it back to normal. Any ideas, please...? (To make this post, I have
had to press the FN-key in conjunction with the desired letters - uiopjklnm -
in order to be able to type coherently... tedious!! So any help would be much
appreciated...

Sounds like you have number lock enabled. Press FN along with the button
which says something like NUMLOCK on it (should be somewhere top right,
maybe F11). That should bring back your letters.

Just a shot in the dark...but maybe something with Num Lock? FN+NumLock
Maybe Sony support can offer help?

Press the button to the right of F12. The light indicating that Num Lock is
enabled (near the battery lights) will turn off.

Thank you... I had tried this before but NOT with FN "Sticky Key" enabled and
pressing the same combination of FN+F11+NumLk for about 3 times... This seemd
to release it back to normal ... I'm now a happy little Vegemite again... So
if you see this queery again this is one of the possible answers.

Again, Thanks.
