KB828026 always prompted

I wonder if anybody ever experienced this. The automatic
updates of my winxp system always prompted me to install
KB828026 (critical update for Windows Media Player script
commands). Even though I've installed it for more than 10
times. It's still detected as not installed, then it's
downloaded, then prompted to be installed.

I've checked the files, all are updated. MBSA shows
nothing missing. Is there anything (in the registry or
something) that I can tweak to stop this?

Hi

Jupiter Jones has some problem solving tips for this update here:

following the link given, strangely I couldn't find WMP
in the add/remove program. And upon rebooting 2 times,
it's still automatically downloading the patch :(
