Isass.exe - invalid parameter

I

Please help - Win XP pro - during early stage of Boot up error message comes
up 'Isass.exe - an invalid parameter was passed to a service or function'
and when I click OK to the message the computer restarts - only to come up
with the message. The same thing happens whatever modde I try to start in ie
Safe- Normal- Best known configuration.

What can I do?

Thanks in advance

Google suggests this is caused by either:

a) The sasser virus or one of several that mimic sasser.
b) an error caused by IPSEC service.

Depends if that an I or an l in lsass.exe.

Try some of the ideas on this thread perhaps.
