Internet sound

Does anyone know how to turn off sounds for the
Internet. Whenever I go to a different web page in
Internet Explorer there is an annoying "blooping" sound.
Sort of sounds like a drop of water or something. I've
tried turning off sound schemes and the sound is still
there so I don't know what to do. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.

I dont know if I have a pop-up blocker. It is a new

computer. Are any of these programs pop-up
blockers...Elite Q, PestPatrol, SetNet? Out of those I
would guess PestPatrol but I cant find anything in it
that says it is a pop-up blocker or how to turn off any
sounds.
