Got Norton Security installed by any chance?

Also google for "nusmgr.hta" brings up a lot of info.

If its new I would get the seller to fix it.

Thanks PA Bear - but patience has nothing to do with this. I double click the
"user account" icon and get the error message. Any idea how to fix it?

No - I do not have notorn installed. The system came with McAfee but I
uninstalled it and loaded up PC-cillin. I have to say it is an odd app. - but
seems to use less system resources than norton or mcafee.

Thanks Pa Bear - this got me to do a "clean uninstall" [little utility from
McAfee] as I found some remnants [spam killer] still on my machine from when
I had uninstalled the program through "control Panel" - specifically spam
killer was showing up in my start up and registry.

By the way, the "user account" error message has gone away. It went away
even before I did the McAfee "clean uninstall. All I can say is crazy.

P.S were you trying to tell me the error message may have been tied to McAfee?

Yes, specifically McAfee Security Center which we've learned doesn't always
uninstall when you uninstall VirusScan.
