Insufficient memory error under access 97 application

I have an old application that runs on Msaccess 97. I installed Office 97
with only Access on my computer running Vista. When I try to start it, I get
an error message stating "insufficient memory".

I don't get it because I have 1GB memory in the box.

Help is badly needed...

That sort of message can indicate incompatible code or lack of rights, not
lack of physcial memory.

As an example of how wrong that message can be, this system has 3g RAM.
When I went to add a network printer located on an XP system, I got a
clearly wrong out-of-memory message, until I installed the Vista printer
driver for a non-existent local printer. Then I could add the network
printer with no problems, and removed the non-existent local printer.

Do you know of any other Vista systems that this app runs on?

You may have to migrate the app to a later version of Access, or just tell
it to run as Admin, or run it in Compatibility Mode for an earlier version
of Windows.

Thank you Patrick,

I went to modify and get to run as administrator and even asked to run it
under compatibility to Windows 98 under which it was running previously.

Then I get that I don't have the wrights to run the software. It is like a
dog running after its tail.

If I want to migrate to Access 2003 or even 2007 what do I have to do since
the software is there but I don't have the source code?

Regards
