Windows me or xp or anyother OS will never install the bios.
What problem did you have that you needed to flash you bios...?
Did you resetup your bios to match you old one...?
Do you get any error messages before your OS boots.

Neen,

You indicate you have a new bios chip - correct?

You may need to go into the bios during startup and Load Bios Setup
defaults. The method for this varies by manufacturer. Sometimes you press
the DEL key while the computer is starting, others F10 and so on.

If you do this, you should save the defaults, exit the bios, power off
completely wait 15 seconds then restart the computer.

With the new bios, there may be a need to specify correct settings, however
usually systems will at least work with defaults loaded.

The error message you have could have many causes including memory problems.
Memory problems can occur if the bios is not set correctly. If following the
procedure above does not correct his, then go to www.memtest86.com and down
load memtest86 follow the instructions on the web site to make a boot floppy
and run the memtest86 program for a minimum of 5 full loops. If you get
*any* memory errors then you have an issue with memory that must be resolved
before you computer will operate correctly.

Needless to say, you should never get any 'protection' or other cryptic
errors during windows installation...
