INSTALLING JAPANESE FONTS (IME Global)

ALFREDO

Hi fellows,

I am trying to get the Global IME (Japanese) for using it
with Windows XP. I went to the Microsoft website and get
the Office XP Tool: Global IME (Japanese). I could
download the file imejpn, which it seems to be the IME
japanese for Windows 2000, XP and others. However, there
is a Notice saying:

"If you are running Microsoft Windows® 2000, Microsoft
Windows® XP, or Microsoft Windows® Server 2003, you do not
need to download the Global IME (Japanese). We recommend
that you use the Windows version of this IME instead."

I tried to get the "WIndows version of this IME instead"
in Microsoft web site, but without success.

Any suggestion on how I can get the IME installed in my
compute will be appreciated? Please copy to my e-mail
(e-mail address removed)
NOTE: I am intending to use Japanese fonts in Microsoft
Office programs as well to write e-mails and others..

The Japanese IME is located on the XP Home or Pro CD, but only if you
have a MS retail copy of the CD. If you have an OEM version it may
or may not be there. If you have a recovery only CD for XP, then you
can not install the Japanese IME.

In any event,go to this website for good instructions on how to setup
you computer for Asian languages:
