Global IME

I downloaded the Japanese Language Pack and the Japans Global IME for XP
from the Microsoft support website. I installed them in the order suggested
on the website. first the language pack, then the IME, but IME will not work
properly. In windows ME and 98 I used the IME and it worked fine with my
standard English keyboard. But I upgraded to XP and it will not work
properly. The language bar come up but it does not allow me to type in
Japanese.
Are there any suggestions?

If you have a MS retail copy of XP Home or Pro, there is no need to
download the Japanese language IME as it's already on the retail CD.

In order to properly setup your computer for Japanese input, go to
