images not loading in ie6

B

bellsouth.net

I am running ie6 on win98. I have a problem (which I had on ie5.5 also)
with images loading in ie.

I never have a problem with loading images on the net, but when looking at
pictures on my harddrive (ex. my-pictures folder) the images will not load
after looking at a number of them. It's as though the pictures loaded on
ie, but a blank white screen shows up instead of the image. Also, if I look
at the images in thumbnail in the folder, some of the images fail to load
there as well (in thumbnail form).

I tried to empty the cache and also lower the amount of disk space used, but
I still have the problem. If I reboot the comp, I get the images back for a
period of time, but then the process is repeated.

Any help is appreciated

TIA

CAUSE This problem may occur if you view a Web page that
