Images not loading in IE 6

When I load certain webpages, the gif images will not
load. All I see is a small box with a red X in the
middle. Can anyone help. As a sidebar, I have tried
Mozilla Firebird and the images load fine.

Change the encoding. Go to View > Encoding and select Western European
(Windows)
