IE6 will not load pics from web pages on my hard drive

This is very peculiar. IE loads images on all webpages on
the internet except my own. Text loads fine.
Also when I launch a webpage from my own computer to work
on, it will load the text but not the images. I've made
sure "load pictures" is checked on the "Advanced" list
under multimedia.
I downloaded Mozilla and it works just fine. Every image
loads but I don't want to have to go back and forth from
MSN to log on and then load Mozilla.
I've "repaired" IE6.0

Are the images coded with full addresses or relatively?
Have you tried using a <base href= > tag?
Is there a security zone difference between the two?

BTW this is not the best newsgroup to be asking this sort of question in.
Find one which would be more frequented by web designers.
