Here you go: Win98SE, IE6 SP1, all updates to everything.
I have re-registered files, cleaned out temp folders,
tried every config in internet options, upgraded from
IE5.5 SP2 to IE6 SP1, upgraded script engine to 5.6,
upgraded DX8.0 to 9.0??, I have no file named Hosts, I'm
thinking....smile... Here's the problem, I cannot get the
web site "my.msn.com" to load. (Not every time) All other
web sites load just fine. The msn web page in question
will load like no tomorrow every 1 time in a 100. Little
changes will make the page load once, then never again.
Once I changed to screen resolution and it loaded, it
loaded once when I upgraded DX (Direct X), I changed the
screen colors settings once and it loaded once. But that
is it, just once, then I try another 99 times til it loads
again...once... I am getting to the point of having no
hair left... help??? So far, the MSN techs have not been
able to help. Please....someone help me??? :)

In XP, there is a program lspfix.exe which fixes a corrupted winsock
(layered services protocol) that your issue is similar to. In Win9x I
have no idea how to fix a corrupted winsock similarly, but Google might
help.

Thanks Q. I downloaded LSPFix.exe, ran it, and it said:
rnr20.dll DNS Name Space Provider
CSLSP.DLL (Protocol Handler)
mswsop.dll (Protocol Handler)
msafd.dll (Protocol Handler)
rsvpsp.dll (Protocol Handler)

Can you say if this looks right?
