If Linux is so Bad, Why is Microsoft so Interested?

You are truly clueless about the true nature of the world.

How am I clueless you dimwit. The OP said Windoze didn't cost him anything.
Even you acknowledge that it does cost something. So, OEM is cheaper than
full packages. But you know and I know the restrictions one gets with OEM.
So stop bullshitting. Winders is NOT free. Now, go **** yourself and take
your PGP with you.

Love and Kisses,
Doris

PS. Another <snorter> here. You and Dr. Frank are becoming quite the pair.

I tried ubuntu this past week...does that count?
Oh, and other than unwrapping VISTA and popping it into my DVD drive, it
took no effort to install VISTA.

Well, we already saw how clueless you are when it comes to computers. Glad,
that Vista has made your life easier. Keep with the lowest common
denominator. Winders is definitely built for the likes of you.

Love and Kisses,
Doris

Yawn. Just what do you think a major purveyor such as Dell or HP pays MS
for a OS license? Not much.
"Not much" is more than "free" as the OP suggested. Now go play with your
Wintendo machine. You obviously are just another Wintard.

Love and Kisses,
Doris

If linux were so great, it would be the market leader. It ain't.

In case you haven't noticed, the vast majority of computer users are as dumb
as you. Look in the mirror and you'll know why Linux has yet to win over
the masses. But for those with some computer savy, Linux is now ready for
their desktops.

Love and Kisses,

Linux ain't toyota. It's more like whatever cars are being made in the

I guess you aren't aware that GM, Ford and DaimlerChrysler are building cars
in PRC? When will you stop showing us your brilliance?

This is incorrect, they include the price of the OEM OS with the price
of the machine.

When you buy a boxed machine and the OS is included, you are not paying
anything extra for the OS. Its cost is factored in, eh?

Clicking on something is too complicated for you?

No, it's worth it's weight in gold. No WPA. No WGA. No SPP. No DRM
restrictions. No viruses. No malware. AND, you don't need a new Ninja
computer to run it.

A friend of mine is repairing a computer loaded with XP. His copy of
XP is legitimate, purchased from a reputable computer store. Windows
Updates says that it isn't "genuine". The customer calls MS and is
told he has to buy another copy of XP. That's the kind of groovy thing
that happens with XP and Vista and will be their downfall. So, if
you're enjoying Vista, savor the moment, because soon MS will activate
and genuine itself right out of business.

I'm certainly not enjoying Vista, but I'm enjoying this thread... :)
I can't hardly believe Bill is going to go under.

Why are you posting in a Vista newsgroup? Tired of the snots like you in
the linux newsgroups?

Doh! That's what HK said.

No, he said there is no software cost to the user, I'm saying there is,
but they just add it on to the hardware cost. You never avoid the
microsoft tax.

Sure you are paying for it. I have purchased a machine from Dell before
with NO OS. It cost less that way.

And I guess you aren't aware that it isn't DaimlerChrysler anymore.
When will you start showing your brilliance?

I haven't had any serious problems with VISTA, and, like you, I think
the linuxboys' comments about impending doom at MS are kinda funny.

Doris, if you want everything for free, have the balls to steal it.
Don't spout this crap that people should make there work available to
you for free, when you contribute absolutely nothing worthwhile in return.

You're one of many people who don't want to pay for anything because you
have nothing that anyone would pay you for.

If I had a Linux machine here, I would create special partitions just so
I could have the pleasure of issuing the following command: kill -all

Now, I am going to have to do penance for feeding the trolls. :-(
