IE6 Won't Clear History

I posted this previously with no reply. When i try and clear the history in
IE using "Tools", "Internet Options", "Clear History", IE6 won't clear the
history. I actually have to click the History button in the toolbar and
manually delete all the items in history. This getting very annoying. Can
anyone assist with a solution?
