IE only allows me to save images from the internet in bmp format

Mohit

when ever i try to download any image from the internet,
IE 6 only allows me to save the image in bmp format.
It does not even retain the original name of the file.

So when I right click on any image on the internet,
click "save picture as" and then simply hit the save
button, it would save the picture as untitled.bmp

Any thoughts/ suggestions to retain the original file name
and format will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

That happens when the Temporary Internet Files are too full. In IE click
Tools | Internet Options. Click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet
files section of the General tab. On the nest window place a check mark in
the box to Delete all offline content.
