IE homepage hijack - default-homepage-network.com

my browser homepage is being redirected to that page. I
studied a website posted here a while ago, and changed a
lot of settings in my IE, after which all these homepage
changes stopped for a while. Now this one is back, along
with msn.com (?!?!? why are they getting involved in
this?!) Anyway, if someone could help me, I think that
page is changing my REGISTRY values as a way to get in,
because that's what Ad-aware keeps finding when I do the
scan. Please help. Also, I permanently block any cookies
I find in my windows/cookies/ directory.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
CWShredder is also available here:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Mary,
default-homepage-network uses several exploits on unpatched
machines to hijack them. Once you get things cleaned up you need
to visit Windows Update and install *all* the "Critical Updates".
