IE 6 Window won't maximize

I recently visited a bulletin board. Clicked on a link
to one of the pages, and my browser window started
jumping all over my display screen. I right clicked on
the taskbar and closed the window. Now, when I open the
IE6 Browser, it goes to just under a half screen. When I
click the middle icon on the top right (the two screens)
it goes to almost full screen. When I click the maximize
(middle icon) again, it goes back to half screen. I
cannot move the screen or resize it at all.

From: http://www.fjsmjs.com/IE/offpos.htm

Symptom: IE opens a maximized window shifted down and to the right.

Remove any 'Auto-hide' option for the taskbar and while the window is
maximized, resize the taskbar then return it to the desired size. This is to
try to make Windows re-calculate the window size and boundaries.

If no joy, run regedit and remove these registry key values:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\window_placement

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Desktop\OldWorkAreas\OldWorkAreaRects

Then reboot.
