IE 6.0 Scroll Up-Down Behavior

Dennis

When I use the PgUp or PgDn keys to scroll vertically in
IE 6.0, everything works fine. Screen moves one page at a
time.

When I left-click the mouse pointer in the vertical
scrollbar, the screen jumps up (or down) TWO pages. This
behavior is seen ONLY in Internet Explorer -- in other
apps the screen moves the expected ONE page at a time.

How the heck do I fix this in IE 6.0?

Did you scroll all the way down to the Security section?

This bug was introduced with critical update 824145.
Click immediately under the slider or drag the slider.

Thanks, Frank. Is uninstalling the "critical" update a
workable option 'til they get it fixed? This is extremely
aggravating.

You can do it, but it will leave you more open to attack. It was a security
upgrade.
I kept it. I don't find working around it that much of a problem.
Work arounds:
Click immediately under the slider.
Drag the slider.
Use the mouse wheel.
Use the Page Down and Page Up keys.
