RE: How to change/remove logon passwords

Hi,

I'm running IE 6.0, when there is a drop down in any webpage and i try to
type the characters it doesn't select the appropriate word for ex
Ex:
Login to this webpage
http://www.vodafone.com/hub_page.html

Towards the left of the screen you will find a drop down to select country,
when you try to search USA by typing the first letter "u" on the keyboard and
then "s" it moves to the country which starts with the letter "s" and not USA.

Can someone help with this question.
Thanks
Nick

Type slower.

You mean type *faster*. Slow typing is what is causing the symptom. ; )

Typing U and then S would just mean that you had changed your mind
about the first character to search for. Typing US would scroll to whatever
is first in the list with both of those letters.

There are only 3 U's in the list so the most reliable method would be to type
U U U.

RE: How to change/remove logon passwords

Hi Robert,

Though I type it quickly, it doesn't select the appropriate word/country..
it works in IE 7... i guess there should be a javascript or fix to this
problem.

Thanks

If it works as expected in IE7, it should work the same way in IE6.

Just type "u" then scroll to make your selection.

RE: How to change/remove logon passwords

Hi Robert,

It works fine in IE 7 though i type it slower or faster.. but it doesn't
happen in IE6..
when i have to search some countries which are long and have many options
then it will take a long time to scroll down and search..

Thanks
Nick
