wbl said:Hi. I am getting this message when I attempt to send any email.
Earlier today it only happened when I tried sending someting with an
attachment. Now, it's doing it for every email.
This is the message that I receive:
The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read
the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help
determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail
service provider.
The rejected e-mail address was ''(e-mail address removed)''
([email protected]). Subject '', Account: 'pop-server.nc.rr.com',
Server: 'smtp-server.nc.rr.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550
Invalid recipient: <'(e-mail address removed)>'' ([email protected]>),
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79
I've contacted RoadRunner and they said that because I can send/receive
via their web-based email, it's not their issue.
I am so computer illiterate, I just don't know what else to try.
Please help if you can.
Thank you so much!
Looks like you've added some mismatched characters in
'(e-mail address removed)>'' . Try deleting the message in
the Outbox that you sent to this address, then sending it
to (e-mail address removed) instead.
If that fails also, this is likely to be a bad email address, so
you need to delete anything in the Outbox sent to that
address, then stop sending anything to that address.
