The strangest thing!

I can not log in to a site via IE (I can login with Firefox)

- I am absolutely certain my username and passwords to access the site are
correct (i know because I can log in with Firefox)

- There is not problem to login to other sites using IE.

What can I do? Please note:

1) i have no firewall installed
2) i have securuty & privacy settings medium
3) i have removed all passwords (internet options > content > Personal
information > Autocomplete)
4) I jave cleared SSL State
5) I have deleted all cookies and temperary internet files

Nothing seems to work.

Again, I can log in to other sites. Just for this one in particular one IE
won't let me in. And I am totally certain that the error is not casued by the
site. I know because:

1) I can access with Firefox
2) Others can log in to the same site with IE
3) I am the admintistrator of the site

HELP!

Does the site use cookies? I used to have a simular problem with firefox
logging into several sites because I had blocked cookies. Maybe the problem I
was having with firefox is the same problem you are having with IE.

If you are connecting Window XP Pro Service Pack 2 to the Internet with the
Windows firewall turned off and no other one turned on, you probably have a
virus. Turn on a firewall and then scan with one of these.

(requires Java)

After you have eliminated the viruses, Make sure your firewall is not
blocking port 443.
Go to Start | Run and enter these commans (press <Enter after each one).
