Unable to log on to my bank's web site

I have IE 6.0, Cypher Strength: 128 Bit. I am running Windows 2000
SP4.

I am not able to log on to my bank's web site. When I try to log on I
get the following error message.

"The page must be viewed with a high-security Web browser
The page you are trying to view requires the use of a Web browser
configured for 128-bit encryption."

I used to be able to log on to this site with my IE browser on this
computer, and I can still log on to other secure web sites, such as my
credit card company's web site. Also, I can still log on to my bank's
web site using the Mozilla browser on this same computer even though I
can't with IE. I also have another computer and I can still log on to
my bank's web site from it using IE 5.5.

I called my bank and they don't know what's wrong.

I thought I would try using IE's repair feature, but when I went to
the add/remove programs applet the entry for IE is missing. I don't
know when that happened because it used to be there before. The
Windows Update Setup files are still located in a folder in my WinNT
directory, but when I ran iesetup.exe it seemed to re install the
browser but it didn't fix the problem.

The only change I have made recently to my PC was that I installed
that patch for the blaster worm a couple of days ago. I am running
Zone Alarm but I've had it for some time and I used to be able to log
on to my bank's site while Zone Alarm was running, so I don't think
that's the problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

John

Since you have another computer, you might want to compare the
Tools\Internet Options\ Advanced tab towards the bottom in the
Security area. I'm thinking particularly of the SSL options..

Thanks for the help everybody. These fixes didn't seem to help. I
guess that for the time being I'll either use my other computer or use
the Mozilla browser.
