HP 4050 duplex problem

Hi,

I've been really stupid and put a duplex unit into my HP 4050 laser
printer - upside down, and now I can't get the thing back out again!

There seems to be something catching on the botton of the printer and
the bottom of the duplex. I cansee a gold standoff thing hanging off
the printer bottom and it's caught on the duplex. I can stop it
catching but the duplex still isn't coming out.

Does anyone know where it could be catching and how to uncatch it?

I would call HP Tech suppt. I sure they have seen this before.
