how to disable auto reply

Paul

Had set up an out of office message in Windows Mail by means of Message
Rules. Currently, there are no Rules anymore visible to remove, though the
auto reply messages are continuing. Would be grateful for avise how to
disable auto reply.

If the message rule was created in that copy of Windows Mail, it should
still be present under Tools, Message Rules, Mail.

If you are familiar with editing the registry, have a look here too:
HKCU, Software, Microsoft, Windows Mail, Rules.

Perhaps the rule was actually set up on your mail provider's webmail site.

Hi Gary
thanks so far
The strange thing is that the Messages Rules are empty, while auto reply
qmail is still activated
I'm not familiar with editing the registry, though may be you can give me a
hint how to get to HKCU, Software, Microsoft, Windows Mail, Rules.

Be extremely careful while in the registry, you do so at your own risk.

Start menu>Run>type regedit>ok.
Navigate to the key.

Did you go to Qmail webmail to make sure the auto reply isn't there?

Since you are not accustomed to registry editing, be aware that
'HKCU' is a geek abbreviation for HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
