We have a network shared printer on a W2003 server
We have some issue with driver:
when whe install printer via AD, some options doesn't work
when whe install local printer, it's ok

=> is it possible to install printer via AD but use local driver ?
how can we deploy it on all PC ?

Of course you can.

You just need do the follows:

1. Install Printer Locally.
2. Create a standard TCP/IP port to server 2003.
3. Use the TCP/IP port instead of Local Port.

See this article:

314959 HOW TO: Configure a Standard TCP/IP Port for Remote Printing by Using
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=314959

The disadvantage of this method is that each compute has its own printer
spooler. Once paper jams, other queue cannot received notifications. In a
word, difficult to manage.
