How to activate Access 2007 security features

I'm trying to learn about new security features but can't see them in
action. Message bar doesn't appear and option is greyed out on Show/
Hide tab. Trust Centre settings show no trusted locations (except
Wizards folder) or publishers. I went to MSoft tutorial on security
but downloaded Assets db from template didn't trigger Message Box as
tutorial said it would. I tried converting and opening db created in
previous version with VB code and action queries but no content was
blocked. I checked the registry to see hat I'm still in Sandbox mode.
What am I missing?!
Thanks for any help

I'm no expert on the subject; however, A07 has done away with a lot of
user-level security if converted to the A07 file format. If you leave it with
something like A03 or earlier, you can still use security; however, I've done
this with Access 2003 which I still have on my computer (along with A97 and
A07).

Hopefully others can give a better explanation.

Hi Jerry
Thanks for your help, but I don't actually need the security features,
just want to learn about them so I can tell my students about them if
they need help! But sadly I can't make Access 2007 use the security
blocks e.g. on code, action queries, that other people seem to get
automatically.
As yet, not too many people come to me who are using A07, so I've got
time to sort this one out.
Thanks again.
