how do i take off the nonbreaking space symbol between each word

I am getting dots inbetween each word (when I press the space bar) when
sending email. I think it may be called a non-breaking space. Can anyone
tell me how to switch it off. Its really annoying.

Thank you

It's not a non-breaking space. It's just a placeholder. Click the pilcrow button on your toolbar -- the one that looks like a paragraph mark to toggle those marks off.

In Tools | Options | Mail Format, is Word checked as your email editor? If so, open a new message and then choose Tools | Options from the message's menu. On the View tab, under Formatting Marks, make sure all boxes are unchecked.
