Hover buttons and hyperlinks

I am using Front Page 200 and am trying to improve the
appearance of my web site by using hover buttons rather
than plain tect for the hyperlinks.

When I insert a hover button and type in the button text
and link to, the hove button appears on the screen.
However I cannot go the hyperlink from it. When I view
the page in review mode, the hover button appears as a
blank grey box. Can someone help please?

Several of the versions of IE do not support hover buttons (they are Java,
not javascript) so it is now recommended that we not use them.

Thanks for the replies. I meant Front Page 2000 of
course !
I note what you say but I see many web sites that use
hover buttons for hyperlinks and this certainly improves
the appearance. Why is it I cannot do that? Is there
any way of getting a similar apprearance to hove buttons
by using fonts? Should I be using Front Page 2002, or
even 2003, or another web page program. I am not into
HTML, although I tried it some time ago. Front Page is so
much easier. Can anyone advise me on what to do?

Consider using JavaScript mouse over images, which will still allow the link
to work, even if user have JavaScript disabled.
