HOSTS FILE with ICS

I am using a hosts file in my 2k pro to block adware and
porn sites. This 2k has ICS enabled and it servers other 8
2k machines.
All 8 have their DNS set to 192.168.0.1 ( Of the machine
with ICS enabled) On adding a URL that needs to be
blocked, to the HOSTS file of 2k pro acting as a server,
it only blocks the site on local machine. But other 8
machines are still able to access the site. IE, other 8
machines bypass 192.168.0.1 for DNS querries? Anyway i can
have these 8 machines look for the URL first in the hosts
file of the server before the request gets forwarded to my
ISPs server?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Copy the hosts files to the other computers, if you want to use that method.
Hosts is for local computers only. Or ditch ICS and get a router that can do
some rudimentary blocking.
