win2k pro
set up ics, the isp card/connection working fine,e.g., i have internet
connection on the ics machine, and the lan card gets the 192.168.0.1
address, but my other machines are not connecting, they are set for dhcp, i
had this working before with win2k adv server, so the only thing changed is
new win2k pro machine, same cables, same hub, etc, i'm baffled if anybody
has ideas i would appreciate help

If you give the other computers an IP Address between 192.168.0.2 and
192.168.0.254 with the subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, with the default
gateway of 192.168.0.1 ~ does it still work? Can you ping 192.168.0.1 from a
client computer?

thanks, for the wakeup call, after setting addresses something like you
suggest, the other pc's can see each other but not the
ics machine, so thinking its the card after all, on the ics machine the isp
card/addr can ping the lan card/addr, and the device mgr thinks its all ok,
that made it seem like it wasn't the card, won't know for sure until i put
another card in,

Whoops, just had a thought...
Is there a link light on in the back of the NIC on your ICS computer?
If not, you could be connected into an uplink port on your hub, (it'll have
an X on it).
Try moving the ethernet to another port on whatever network device you're
using, or using a crossover where you're using a straight patch cable.
