grey images in explorer

when i view a folder containing images in thumbnail format
in windows explorer the thumbnails are grey and hard to
see. This only occurs in some folders - is there a
setting to fix this?

Might look into getting an updated graphics driver. Go to the manufacturer's web site
and look around.
