Getting restore overseas = Virtual memory prob

Feedback is certainly appreciated as am dealing with a
big glitch while overseas.

Using windows xp on a toshiba satellite notebook and
first problem was a virtual memory problem which started
last week. Sought to make adjustments with virtual
memory using safe mode.

Now safe mode, returning to last good config, restore
mode will not allow log on to account.

Each attempt to logon results in the system slowly moving
and then logging off automatically. Sometimes and error
message comes up "purser message.. value creation failed
at line 422.

My dilema is at this time I do not have a restore disk,
recovery disk, or the original xp. The portable came
preloaded with xp.

Is there a site whereas I can download xp from another
computer and then use it to restore. Advice is
appreciated.

The nearest overseas computer store sells XP retail, I'm sure.
I guess that is your best bet, unless you don't care going to some sleezy
warez site for a version of XP, that is if you can find one.

Strange that you don't have a restore disk since Toshiba notebooks all
ship with recovery disk sets. Be that as it may, I suggest you
contact the closest Toshiba oversea support and purchase a recovery
set of CDs. Just make sure they're for the English version of XP.

You can not download XP so your only alternative is what I suggested
above.
