Feedback appreciated as am dealing with a
big glitch while overseas!
Using windows XP on a Toshiba Satellite notebook 1405.
First problem was a virtual memory issue which started
last week. Sought to make adjustments with virtual
memory using safe mode.
Now impossible to logon. Have used f8 key in "safe mode,
return to last good config, restore mode and cannot log
on to account.
Each attempt to logon results in the system moving slowly
and then logging off automatically. Sometimes an error
message comes up "purser message.. value creation failed
at line 422.
My dilema is at this time I do not have a restore disk,
recovery disk, or the original xp disk at hand. The
portable came preloaded with xp.
Is there a site whereas I can download xp or a restore
disk from another computer and then use it to restore.
Advice is appreciated.
